HCV Test Strip is a qualitative immunoassay for detecting antibodies specific to the Hepatitis C Antigen found in serum or plasma samples.
Qualitative results of this test are determined within 15 minutes without the need of additional instrumentation or reagents. The One-Step Anti-Hepatitis C (Anti-HCV) Test is an effective aid in the screening and diagnosis of Hepatitis C virus infection.

  • Result in 10-15 minutes
  • Accurancy over 99.6%
  • Uses human blood specimen
  • Can be performed without the use of laboratory equipment

One Step Strip Style Anti-HCV Rapid Screen Test

One Step ANTI-HCV Rapid Screen Test is a lateral flow, immunochromatographic screening test. Two Purified recombinant antigens of HCV are used in test line as capture materials and gold conjugates. If the antibody of Anti-HCV is present in the sample in concentration above the labeled, complex will be formed. This complex is then captured by antigen immobilized in the Test Zone of the membrane, producing a visible pink-rose color band on the membrane. The color intensity will depend on the concentration of the anti-HCV present in the sample. This one step test is very sensitive and only takes about 15-20 minutes. Test results are read visually without any instrument.

  1. For serum, collect blood into a container without anticoagulant. Allow the blood to clot and separate the serum from the clot.
  2. For plasma, collect whole blood into a purple, blue or green top collection tube (containing EDTA, citrate or heparin, respectively) by vein puncture, separate plasma from whole blood.
  3. Use the specimen in an hour. If the specimen can not be tested in an hour, store the specimen in 4鈩 cold closet or refrigerator, but don鈥檛 freeze. Bring the specimens to room temperature before testing. Do not freeze and thaw the specimen repeatedly.

  • To begin testing; open the sealed pouch by tearing along the notch.. Remove the test form the pouch.
  • Lay the strip flat on a clean, dry, nonabsorbent surface, draw one drop of specimen into the sample pad.
  • Then draw two drops of buffer into the sample pad as well.
  1. Wait for colored bands to appear. Read results within 10-15 minutes. Do not read results after 20 minutes.

  1. Negative: Only one pink line appears on test region of the strip. This indicates that there is no detectable anti-HCV in the specimen.
  2. Positive: Two pink line appear on test region of the strip. This indicates that the specimen contains detectable amount of anti-HCV.
  3. Invalid: If without pink line appears on test region, this is an indication of a possible error in performing the test. The test should be repeated using a new device.

  1. Must use fresh specimen, the specimen is only valid for three days after collection.
  2. Use it before expiry date.
  3. The package of kit should not be opened until it reaches the room temperature if it taken out from the refrigerator.
  4. Old Serum can not be used. If the serum is thick, it can be used only after being separated.

  1. The test is for in-vitro diagnostic use only.
  2. The test is qualitative filter detection, it can not be used as the final test for blood donor.

The test kit can be stored at room temperature (2 to 30掳C) in the sealed pouch to the date of expiration. The test kit should be kept away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
